The ParentChild+ at-home visiting program emphasizes verbal interaction and learning through play. Home visitors help parents to realize their role as their child's first and most important teacher. Home visitors help families find creative ways to play and read with weekly gifts of books and educational toys.

In two weekly 1/2 hour visits, there is time to read, talk, and play together, creating bridges of mutual understanding and building a strong foundation and love for learning.  Each week:

• the first visit introduces a toy or book for the child to keep
• the second visit is an opportunity to play with it again together

This program is for children ages 15 months thru 4 years of age. 

PC+ graduates are:

• 50% more likely to be prepared for kindergarten than their peers
• scored 2.5 times higher on social-emotional skills than their peers
• enter school performing 10 months above their chronological age
